What is the Master Builder in Clash of Clans
The Master Builder in Clash of Clans is a non-playable character (NPC) who is found in the Builder Base and resides in the Builder Workshop. There can only be one Master Builder in each village.
Your main task is to improve the buildings in your village. Once you have evolved the workshop to level 4, the master can reach your village via boat to perfect your defenses, such as the cannon, archer tower, and mortar.
You will be able to easily identify the Master Builder, as he will be present from the beginning of the Builder Base tutorial. He is a middle-aged man with a beard and orange hair. He wears a blue hat and a brown suit with a belt. You will always see him carrying some plans in his hand, which he occasionally studies while he works.
When your village is under attack, the Master Builder will take shelter in the Builder's Workshop along with the other villagers, and will only leave his shelter when necessary to go to the Town Hall of your main village.
By upgrading the Builder's Workshop to level 9, you will have the chance to build a new structure called OTTO's Hut. This structure, when upgraded to level 5, will grant the Master Builder another additional builder in your base. This way, the Master Builder will be able to change villages as needed.
How to upgrade OTTO's hut
If you want to have the master builder's assistant and give the master the possibility of traveling whenever he wants, you must meet the following conditions:
Once you have met these requirements and have the level 5 hut, you can give your Master Builder the freedom to move between your villages. If you decide to keep the Master Builder in the Builder Base, OTTO will act as a second builder in the Builder Base; in that case, the Master Builder will only build if OTTO is busy, and will be immediately replaced by OTTO once it finishes its work.
