Requirements to receive a guard
There are only 4 situations in which you could receive a guard:
- After having repelled a weak attack.
- After you have taken a personal break without defending yourself.
- After your shield has been depleted.
- After having been inactive for a long period of time, 90 days or more.
These are the only requirements necessary to receive a guard. Each of them has its importance and must be taken into account to maintain your safety.
How long does the guard last? Clash of Clans
The duration of the guard Clash of Clans varies depending on different factors. Next, we will explain the different reasons and their respective durations:
Weak attack: If you have suffered a weak attack, the guard will last for 30 minutes after each defense in which at least one building has been destroyed.
Personal break: If you decide to take a personal break, you will have a 30-minute guard if you wait 6 minutes without defending. After those 6 minutes, you can extend the guard duration for another 30 minutes if you do not defend during that time.
Shield expiration: When your shield expires, you will receive a guard whose duration depends on the trophy league you are in. If you are in the Master I league or lower, the guard will last 30 minutes, but if you are in the Champions and Titans Leagues, you will receive a 1-hour guard.
Lack of connection to the game: In case you have not logged into the game, you will receive a 24-hour guard. However, you should keep in mind that this option will only be activated once a year for each user, so you cannot depend on it as a protection method if you connect every 90 days.
