Brown mushrooms are an item with healing values, they may not be able to be eaten in their natural state, but when used as ingredients for a Mushroom Stew they are a potential life-regenerating agent. They usually grow in caves and dark areas, in their own Mushroom or Mushroom Island Biome, in swamps, the Nether and in some cases they can appear in Jungle Biomes. They have the ability to be luminescent, that is, they emit a faint cold light of Level 1, due to the low temperature conditions of the environment in which they are found.
Get Brown Mushrooms in Minecraft
In the first instance, an irrefutable way to get Brown Mushrooms in Minecraft, is in their biome of origin, yes, we mean the Mushroom or Mushroom Island, a place where the different types of Mushrooms reside, in this Biome we can see that the mushrooms occur naturally due to the environmental conditions of the Biome. However, this is not a biome that can be found easily, since it is located in the middle of the ocean, which makes it somewhat difficult to find it quickly. Mother Earth and her things!
Another way to obtain these mushrooms is to create your own Mushroom Farm, in short, designate a space whose environmental conditions are suitable for the development of the mushrooms you want, here I will attach some Tips that will help you in this task:
- Lighting: It is essential that the place where you intend to make your Farm has very vague lighting, that is, that it is dark but also sufficiently lit so as not to generate enemies in dark or blind areas. For example: you can make an underground farm with lighting level 8 – 12 maximum, because if lighting level 12 is exceeded, sowing will be affected.
- The Soil: There is a noticeable difference between growing mushrooms in normal soil blocks and concrete blocks. Mycelium or Podzol. The difference between the two is that if you plant in ordinary soil blocks, high light levels will have negative effects on the plants, due to their sensitivity to light. On the other hand, the blocks of Mycelium and Podzol, they have a positive effect on the mushrooms, because they become resistant to lighting, in such a state they can occur in an external environment and with the presence of sunlight (this type of block will help if you don't want to worry about the lighting factor).
Also, a third way to obtain Brown Mushrooms is through the huge 7×7 hedges, you can find them in the Mushroom or Mushroom Islands Biomes or you can even make your own 7×7 Mushroom forest. You only have to condition a certain area, taking into account the previous Tips, plant a mushroom in a large space and then feed it with Bone Powder until it reaches its size limit and so you can proceed to take your loot.
Uses of Brown Mushrooms in Minecraft
The use of these Mushrooms is not very extensive, until now it is only limited to three functions, which are:
- Mushroom Stew: As mentioned before, Brown Mushrooms cannot be eaten while raw. But, when combined with a Bowl Curiously, it transforms into a stew with healing characteristics.
- Fermented Spider Eye: In this case we are talking about an implement used for different potions, which in turn is a mixture of Spider Eye, Sugar and a Brown Mushroom. Who would have imagined it?
- Brown Mushrooms of dimensions 7×7: Technically you should only plant a mushroom and then feed it until it grows, but it must have precisely a diet rich in Bone-meal to bring about what you want.
