Many players have reported a certain slowness in downloading Fortnite on their PCs, but there are a couple of tricks you can do to speed up your Fortnite download on PC.
Tips to speed up the download of Fortnite on your computer
Although Epic games have updated and optimized Fortnite to run on low-end computers, there are still minimum requirements that your PC must meet in order to download the game and play it without problems.
The PC requirements for Fortnite to run and download fast are:
- Nvidia GTX, AMD brand video card or its equivalent in a GPU.
- 2 GB or more of video card.
- Core i3 processor and if it is higher, much better.
- The RAM of 8 GB or higher.
- OS Windows 7, which although it is no longer supported by Microsoft is still quite good for playing Fortnite.
Another tip to speed up the download of the game:
Check the download of the files as follows:
- Enter the Epic Games Launcher.
- Enter the library of game files.
- Click on the box identified with three dots.
- Press “verify”, the third option from top to bottom.
Another option is to activate the Epic Games performance mode that allows you to run this title on low-end computers. It is done in the game settings, in the graphics part, you will need to change the render mode to Alpha Performance.
But if you play Save the World mode, you won't be able to activate it.
